When people ask Nyoka where she’s from, she usually tells them, “Everywhere”. Nyoka grew up in a Navy family, where she moved around frequently. But she considers herself very lucky to have had the opportunity to live in many beautiful and interesting places around the world. In July 2023, she landed on the Central Coast and instantly fell in love.

Nyoka spends her weekdays working for the San Luis Coastal School District as an educator, which she considers the most fun job in the world! Before starting her career in education, she cooked professionally for over 20 years. So when she moved to the Paso Robles AVA, working as a wine educator was a natural fit that fulfilled a long time dream. When she’s not teaching kids or pouring wine in the tasting room, she likes kayaking in Morro Bay, camping, dabbling in languages, and exploring National Parks.
